Holiday Happenings 2004

"WOW"

was what we were thinking when we pulled into the Post Office parking lot today ( yeah, we had to go back there again to send more stuff - this time, bills ) cos right next to us was this really beautiful vintage car which looked like it had been restored and was very well kept. We lingered around for me to take pictures and the OWNER walks out! David approached the guy about his car and it turns out to be a 1938 Bentley and a real life family heirloom.

After another stop at Penney's, the Dollar Tree ( or Green Dollar aka Green Tree, as David puts it *hehe* ) and Walmart plus a OMG-i-am-too-hungry-to-take-another-step stop at Taco Bell, we were off to fill our Propane Tanks with Propane to "keep the RV warm and toasty for mah baby at night" at the local KOA only cos it was the nearest to us at that time and we were rushing for time to get to the holiday dinner "do" on time. It turned out to be MORE expensive than usual and we swore never to go there for Propane ever again!

We got to the Hillcrest Church of Christ building just in time and snuck in thru the kitchen entrance straight into the multipurpose room where the dinner was gonna be *hehe* and people had just started to get in line for the food.

After a dinner of Brisket, potatoes, kidney beans, some green coloured desert thingy with Pistachio, cherries, marshmallows & jello which i found out was like Pistachio Jello Salad/ Desert ( duh ) and some peach/apple cobbler, we settled down for the evening's entertainment which included

Walter's story telling in his infamous Pink Cowboy Hat

Flautists ,
Johnny ( Cindy's husband ) 's Christmas and other songs while Cindy beams with pride

and The Fab 4 getting down and groovy with Johnny at the Drums

All in all, it was a good day and i shall end the day's blog with a pic of walter, cindy, charles ( cindy's youngest ) and Joy ( Charles' dearly beloved )

Toodloooo!
