Stop Confusing Me

I never paid much attention..

to weather in Malaysia. Give or take a degree or two, the high of the day pretty much hovered at 89F/32C every single day. The only variations would be an interplay between scorching hot, rain or cloudy but always with enuff humidity up to your eyeballs and yes, the very predictable high of the day.

Since i've been in the States though, i have become a weather channel/triple doppler radar fiend.

A few posts ago, i talked about it snowing and how i was in awe of it all, seeing it for the first time, and then the weather warmed up. One night we even had to have the air conditioning on. In WINTER.

and then just in the span of yesterday and today, the weather decided to do an about turn. p/s: Abilene's west of Dallas, about 3 hours away.

YESTERDAY

TODAY

HUH?!?!?!?!?

I try to watch "The Weather Network" up here but you never know what will come off the mountains, or more artic air from the north.

We have a saying here in Calgary, "Don't like the weather? wait an hour"

Welcome to Texas, Dear! And tonight's low is expected to be 20-23 degrees. Not to worry, the weekend's back up to the 60's.

Im up where the weather showed 18 degrees! Right now it is 14 degrees and our low is supposed to be 9. Texas is an odd place for weather like you said-we also have a saying here that if you don't like the weather wait an hour!

Have you experienced hail before? We had baseball sized hail this past summer-you should have seen my neighbors car afterwards! The other odd weather we get up here is thundersnow. http://pointclickjeff.blogspot.com/ Jeff

I'm a huge weather nerd for some reason and probably always will be. I'm from the north and am used to winter and tons of snow. Down here in the south, one day it'll be a high of 20, the next day it can be almost 80 degrees. Now I know why I get sick. Haha. :) Hope all is well with you.

Hi Letti, I still love the weather here cos it is more predictable. Rain in the afternoon at 4pm. Sun shine in the morning etc. Good for golf everyday in the morning.

Hi Letti! Hooray for the cold front! I love it when there are dramatic weather changes -- mostly when they usher in COLD air!
