The Search continues...

Reasons for 2 days of bloglessness

Reason #1

Searching for a place for a wedding reception. Apparently the church where i'm having the wedding doesn't allow any food because someone trashed the place once with food and smeared cake all over the upholstery.

After some deliberation, I have decided on the "Loggia" at the Grace Museum here in downtown Abilene. It's gorgeous with glass doors on either side so it's bright and cheery, and a beautiful painting at the end wall and beautiful skylights and chandeliers in the ceiling :)

Reason #2

A new puppy called Henry...till we think of a better name

He has GREEN eyes...way cool..where did ya get him and why 'Henry'? Luckily not Richard or George *lmao and nudges letti* NO offence to anyone with those two names..just that we (me and letti) know some weird people with those names :)
I think he looks like the dog...spaniel.. in Peter and Jane story books we used to read when growing up :)
And the reception place is GORGEOUS!!

I love Henry!!!

The TV show "Emergency" from the 70's used to have a dog named henry, it was a basset hound tho!

Take more pictures of Henry, where did he come from?

AW! What a sweet puppy! You know, Henry is Elijah's middle name. ;-)

The reception place looks beautiful...
We had ours in the basement of the church, it was nothing big... well, it was, but we didn't go late into the night with dancing or anything. We had a meal and cake and the traditional things. And it was PACKED. I think the fire marshal would have had a heart attack if he'd seen it. It wasn't that pretty - it's prettier now, they've gotten carpet and such... But it was nice all the same. :)

I think your reception will be just lovely there! I love the red walls of that one room too. I enjoyed your post on the Chinese New Years. My best friend is Chinese and she took me to the Asian store, and we looked at all of the things used for celebrating. I would miss it too if I were you! Hope you get to do some celebrating somewhere!

My sister has a dog just like that and his name is Henry too (hmm or should that be Henry II). :)

Congrats on your upcoming wedding BTW.
