Better Homes and Gardens

We're busy with Curb Appeal

You know, planting flowers, weeding, mowing, tilling and putting on lawn grass..

and David has bought fruit trees, rose bushes etc. to plant and so between household chores, the animals and gardening, I've lagged with blogging..again. But there's just something very Zen about gardening and seeing things grow that it's more a pleasure than a chore.

We've also had several people come out to the house to talk about building a porch and deck..Oooo..it's too exciting!

My mom loves to garden. I don't know if she likes working outside, but she likes how it makes the yard look. You should see her when the flowers start to bloom, she gets so happy.

Well, I'm watching American Idol and I don't wanna miss to much! lol...

I cant wait to start my gardening too. David and I have laid weedkillers and lawn feed already just waiting for the pesky weeds to die so I can start making my yard beautiful. I love gardening It has such a calming effect for me too.

Sounds like real fun. Since moving I have been without a garden and I miss not being able to pootle round it, sit and watch the birds and generally enjoy the space that a garden gives. Will have to post some photos when it is finished.

Sounds like you are having so much fun creating all the beauty!

I heard a few years back if you live outside the city on so many acres of land there is an organization or government agency that will give you so many trees free based on how much land you have.

Maybe call the local parks & wildlife dept.? They may know.

Have a great weekend-Jeff

That's why I live in an apartment. Don't have to worry about any of that. I'm content to sit on my butt, enjoying my TV or other crap.

I love gardening, well some aspects at least. I like herbs and flowers, but I hate mowing the lawn and pulling weeds!
