Of Pets and Plants

Henry got waaaay too big for the bathtub many months ago..

and it's gotten to be quite a challenge to give him a bath, little stinker that he is.

So, when we found THIS on the shelves at Sam's the other day, it was a VERY good day.

So our kitchen doesn't smell as bad now.

ALSO, our Christmas Cactus has finally bloomed after a year of dormancy...

My brother got a puppy for christmas and was told not to bathe her -- as she could become VERY sick in this cold weather ... phew does she stink!!! I feel your pain!

<"3 )~

P.S. Is it hard to care for a cactus?

Aww he is adorable...I remember bathing my ex's dog, he would be fine in the tub but a nightmare when got out, my walls and me would get drenched.

My mum has one of the Christmas Cactus and it is stunning. Loads of flowers this year.

He is getting quite big! I can't imagine having a dog that big in the house, I'm so used to my little 10 pounder. :)
And the cactus - yes beautiful!! I don't see too many of those around here. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places, but I don't, just that yellow and orange one last summer...

Hi Letti! I really would want to own a cute dog (hopefully the dog doesn't nibble on shoes), since me myself is an animal-lover! I love pets while mom don't. So I must get a house of my own soon in order to get a dog at least =)

Hope that the Texas fire is not spreading. Does the remeby work? Hope so =) *giggles*

Oh yup, a big congratulations! The plant bloomed! The sense of great ahievement is great, isn't it?

Bye and see you =)

What a cutey! Another thing I read that works in a pinch for freshening a dog up is to take them outside, sprinkle baking soda all over them and brush it out. I have tried it a few times and it works pretty good.

Glad you got a free lunch-that is always a nice surprise! Jeff

Wow, Henry has gotten big. And the bigger they are the harder to bathe. At least his hair is not too long. We had a Huskie with long, shedding hair and that was a pain to brush much less wash.
