Quite a Pause there..

My Desktop is just about Officially Dead

Right now we've rigged my monitor, mouse and keyboard to David's laptop, which is sitting by my feet, with a brand new hard drive - *starting from scratch, is what it means* - and enough space on my table to study. We managed to salvage most data from the old ( a.k.a. FRIED ) hard drive, and so that's a relief. Which means we're gonna be scouting for a new system for me. Oh well.

Spring weather can be so unfriendly out here in the wide open Texas spaces - we're getting winds gusting up to 45mph with an average of about 25mph EVERY DAY!!!!!
*sigh*

Other than that, it's mostly spring stuff happening - lots of planting and cleaning up and repairing and all that Jazz. Jay, a good friend of the family, is helping David get a lot of things done around the house - we finally got a decent roof up on the cattery, got a lot of plants in the ground and started in planters - are looking to plough up the land for a vegetable patch in the back, a big flower bed in the front, maybe a pond and a storage building in the back also, for the trailers ( RV and Airstream ) and Oh, yesterday we put together a Purple Martin House... :)

Sorry to hear about having to rebuild the system-that is such a pain-hope it goes smoothe.

We are having hot, dry, windy weather with lots of fires up here in the panhandle. Luckily the wind is down to 25-30mph today.

I'm going to start my spring cleaning outside this weekend, looks like you got a jumpstart on me! I spent the last few weeks on the inside.

Hope you are having a great week, Jeff

At least you were able to salvage some data. Just think, you get a new system.
