A Green Post

Well, Spring is here..

the lawn is starting to turn green, the irises have perked up, the tomatoes look healthy, and a strawberry plant that miraculously survived winter out-of-doors is putting out blooms!

We've bought bedding plants, herbs, vegetables and seeds... one of the flower beds is almost done..... still clearing out the other two, and we're going to put in several more around some other trees.

I've got some hanging baskets with fern and vines and have done a lotta weeding. David has bought a lot of roses to add on to our several hundred that make up a hedge around our circular driveway, as well as replacing those that have not survived the harsh summer and extraordinary winter. All in all, there's still a lot of gardening to do, but what can I say, it IS spring after all.

More garden pics to come in later posts....

"For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things
that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness
and praise to spring forth before all the nations."
~Isaiah 61:11~

Woohoo! Winter is finally over! Well there must be a burst of green over there since the weather is getting warmer! Great to know that all your dear plants are growing up well ;)

Nice. Too bad the weather can't make up its mind here. It's either spring or winter. Depends on the day.

I have a lovely garden of weeds in the backyard. That's as green as my thumb gets.
