Of Texas Rains and Delivery Men

During the recent rain several days ago,

we were under a flash flood watch. Since our property is on higher ground than a big part of our county, we never did worry too much about flooding. It wasn't till we were traveling along one of the back roads near us, that we realised just lucky we were to be situated where we were. Granted, this isn't the worst this road has ever seen, but this was the first time we had travelled down it after a heavy downpour. Naturally, we TURNED BACK!.

On Friday, when Cindy brought me home after our "Girls' Day Out", we were greeted with this scene, and David standing in front of it, with his hands on his cheeks, shaking his head.

Apparently, the Fedex Guy had been to our place and left a package, without David ever hearing anything from inside the house, and as he was leaving, had RUN OVER PART OF OUR LAWN AND SUBSEQUENTLY OUR FREAKING MOSQUITO ZAPPER/KILLER THINGY! AND IT IS NOW IN PIECES!

At first we had not noticed the package that had been left on the steps by the side door, and were completely dumbfounded and befuddled as to WHO ON EARTH could have killed our mozzie killer. I mean, there were still tyre tracks on the lawn and on the base thingy of the mozzie zapper.

THEN we saw the parcel, and immediately made a call to FEDEX to file an incident report.

NOW WE WAIT.

*grumble grumble*

Hosea 6:3 Let us know, Let us pursue the knowledge of the LORD. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former rain to the earth.

It rained a great deal in Houston yesterday but not quite flood levels. I can't believe the FedEx guy did not stop to let you know, he had to have known he ran over the thing.

Yea, something like that you notice (unless he had his iPod on and is generally oblivious).

Gosh, that Fedex delivery guy is surely one blur person XD but hope that Fedex will compensate you as soon as possible! Anyway the weather over here in Singapore is getting really weird too! Instead of raining we have too much sunshine. The ground is parched and the trees are literally baked >.<
