Halloween Part 1

Boo at the Zoo

About a week and a half ago, we celebrated an early Halloween at the Zoo.

This year, Jaxon went as a Fireman. We had watched videos on Youtube and looked at books about firemen and fire engines so that the little boy could see a little bit more about what they did.

At 2 1/2, the little boy wears a size 4T, but still the sleeves and pants of his costume were a little too long, so I had to use my limited sewing skills to take in about 3" on the pants and about 6" for the sleeves.

There wasn't a crazy line at the front of the zoo like last year, and we we had already stopped by the day before to get tickets, so we quickly made our way in.

We had been watching Halloween episodes of the different children's shows on Nick Jr, so the little boy had a better idea of what was going on this year.

The lines inside for the trick or treating part, were pretty horrendous though. We were glad that we weren't really there for that, but more for the animals and the general Halloweeney mood. Jaxon really enjoyed seeing the animals and still tells me about the Rhinos he saw.

The little boy had a pretty grand time, and so did we. :)
