Oh yes, Spring has Sprung.

Happy 10th Birthday Pt II

On the little boy's birthday, he woke up to Birthday Cards from us and his Poh Poh

When we asked him what he wanted to do for his birthday, his first response was, "Have a Happy Meal at McDonalds!".

We hardly ever go to McDonalds - and even then, a lot of the time it is to drop in and say "Hi" to Uncle Lin.  He has certainly had their fries, but never a legitimate Happy Meal, complete with Box AND Toy.

So, off we went to McD, excitedly :D

Uncle Lin was there with his "Coffee Buddies", and so we got to say hi to him.

The portions look huge in this photo, but rest assured, it was ALL camera angle related.

YUMS!

After we got home, it was time to make the cake.  You had handed me a sketch of what you would like on the cake, and I did my best to stay true to the request.

And Jaxon, in case you look back at this decades from now and don't remember what in the world this face represents, well, it is your Avatar from Roblox. :D

Happy Birthday, Darling Boy :)

Interesting Contrail

Happy 10th Birthday Pt 1

We celebrated the little boy's entrance into double digits with the family, over at Stephanie's house.

It takes a little bit or organization, but we managed to get everything packed away & picked up our pizza at Domino's.

The little boy hadn't asked for much in terms of the party, so I pretty much got finger foods that kids would eat - pizza, baby carrots, grapes, balled watermelon and chips.

The only thing he DID request was for a Adventure Forward 2 cake.  I knew there was no way I would be able to pipe or draw any of the characters onto the cake and so I came up with a design, along with his Roblox avatar, sent the picture off to a website that offers to print that on edible paper and waited for it in the mail.

And, as per tradition, it was in the number of the age he was turning.

And then it was time to gather around and sing The Birthday Song.

Jet was sweet and helped Jaxon with his presents :)

After that, it was Pool Time! I know the little boy was waiting anxiously for THIS. :)

After they had swum their fill, it was back into the house for some VIDEO GAMES!
I mean, what a party for 10 year olds!

Miss Sky, not missing a beat, happily played with her Jurassic Park Pals :)

Propane Run

Sometimes, posting things on the blog is the ONLY way we can ever find out when we did anything !

Happiness is...

Finding $3.00 ( each ) shirts on the End of Season Clearance Rack, that would ( hopefully - he grows so fast! ) fit the little boy in approximately 9 months. :)

Rest Well, Peggy.

We were at Peggy's Funeral, and got to see a number of the Woods' extended family.  She was quite a lady, that Peggy. I remember when my mom was here for our wedding, she and Peggy got on famously, and Peggy made a really good impression on her.

I didn't take photos of when everyone was around, because I didn't want to appear to be the "Asian Tourist" type, who would take photos of everything and anything.

BUT, when the little boy got a little antsy and wanted to roam the halls after lunch, I managed to get in a couple of quick pics.

A Trip to Lubbock

We had some business to tend to in Lubbock, so we started off bright and early..

The sky was blue and gorgeous, and the land, well, flat.

After what seemed like ( to the little boy ), a LONG LONG way, we finally got to Lubbock, got my business tended to, and we were off to get some grub.

But not before a playground break!

The hubs was delighted to find a Furr's still alive and kicking in Lubbock, since the one in Abilene had closed down a number of years back. My favorite dish? Probably the spinach :)

Then it was off to show the little boy where Daddy went to Law School..

They had a mock courtroom in the building,

and of course the first thing the little boy does is rush off to sit in the Judge's Seat.

The hubs brought us to the Law Library where he spent many hours, and the little boy could not resist it when he saw a bean bag corner :)

With Stuffed animals like these, could YOU?
