Saturday Antics

I just realised I didn't have any pics of Grandad

from this week's Saturday with Grandad.

My Bad. :(

We started off with lunch with Grandad at McDonald's as usual,

and then Grandad said that he would like to drop by the Garden Center where his old friends from the Big Country Iris and Daylily Society were having a plant sale.

A few of Grandad's friends came out and visited with him so that Grandad wouldn't have to get out of the car, but the little boy was not content with being strapped into his car seat, especially when daddy had disappeared through the doors of the Garden Center.

The lady who owned the place recognized us from last year, and said in disbelief, "Wasn't he in a stroller last year??" :) Ah, kids.. they grow up so fast.

There was an indoor and outdoor part, and the little boy could not wait to go running out the doors to the back

 

I had to keep telling him NOT to get into the water features :P

 

 

There was no less enthusiasm for exploring the indoor part either, for the little man

 

"Mama, Rooster! Cock-a-doodle-doo!", while attempting to redecorate

 

At one point, I turned around and the little boy had gotten hold of a wide brimmed sun hat from one of the displays and was attempting a "Dumb Donald" from Fat Albert 

 

It was a very short visit, but maybe we'll be by again next year!
