Last Sunday, David and I brought David's dad to the funeral of his cousin's wife. He had lost touch with that side of the family and had not seen this particular cousin in over 70 years! He had seen the obituary in the Abilene Reporter News and decided that he would like to make a trip over to Throckmorton ( a small town with a population of about 905 ) to offer his condolences.
All in all it was a great family reunion even though it was on a solemn occasion. His cousin knew immediately who he was and it was touching to see the two men catching up and renewing ties.
Matthew 6:19-21
Treasures in Heaven
19"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
