Earthworms after the Rains

They may seem icky, but I find them fascinating. And as someone who tries to garden, they are a wonderful sight to behold.

I lifted a piece of cardboard that had been covering a small patch of earth, and found these little ones hiding..

I mean, so many stages of life. Some tiny ones, some medium ones..

and also some NOT SO LITTLE ones. I mean, look at this el Hugo Deluxo.

Is life that devoid of excitement that I am posting about Earthworms?
