Happy Thanksgiving, Y'all

Photobucket

For beauty in nature, Your glory we see
For joy and health, friends and family,
For daily provision, Your mercy and care
These are the blessings You graciously share.
So today we offer this response of praise
With a promise to follow You all of our days.

Ducks go "quack quack"

Last week we brought Jaxon out to the park

for his first "feeding the ducks" outing. They could get pretty aggressive what with the promise of food and all, and so I held on to him the whole time.

The boy was intrigued by the ducks at first, and then he got even more into chomping down on "duck bread". Click HERE for pics of da teeth :)

And yes, he still manages to scratch himself all over with those little nails even though I keep them clipped down. *sigh*

How cute is that??

Of course I know it's just coincidental,

and he didn't really say it, but that doesn't make it any less cute!

Generations

When Jaxon came along,

Charles joked about being a little sad at losing his "youngest grandchild" status, but quickly followed that up with the fact that it had been a good 27 year run, which we all thought was pretty cute.

Happy 28th birthday, dude :)

We meet up with Jaxon's grandad several times a week, and Walter always enjoys his time with little Jaxon. We keep telling him he's gotta stick around for many more of Jaxon's "first"s. :)

The Three Stoo.. er, Cousins

could be models for a United Colors of Benetton Ad.

When the 3 cousins are at Taco Tuesday, it's ALWAYS a major photo op..

More Mooncake

And this time, with a hidden surprise inside!

I got a couple of mooncakes from Patsy on Friday, and didn't have the chance to taste them till today. I was so eager to try them that I didn't read the label on the package. It was only after I had bitten into it that I was pleasantly surprised by an egg yolk inside! Yum Yum Yum!!!

Excursion to Lake Clyde

On Monday, at the spur of the moment, David decided to bring his dad, Jaxon and I to Lake Clyde. His dad has travelled all over Texas ( and then some), but for some reason, had never been to Lake Clyde. It was only about 25 miles away, and with Google Maps, especially with the Street View option, it makes going to a place you've never been to before, much less intimidating.

We were very pleasantly surprised at the facilities and amenities that were available. Who would have known that it was so much more than just a lake. It was really a very nice park complete with RV hook ups, camping sites, a boat dock, hiking trails, a playground, a sand volleyball court thingy, and the like.

Needless to say, it was also a major photo op. :)

Trick or Treat!

This is a few days late

but the overwhelming cuteness of it all will render all forgiven :)

We haven't been out much with Jaxon except for the usual Taco Tuesday and off to Grandad's for Letti Thursday, and church, but we decided that we couldn't let him miss trick or treating on his very first Halloween! So off we went to the church parking lot to join in the Trunk or Treat party that our church organized. Obviously the boy can't eat candy yet, but we asked for some for his "scrapbook" :)
