From

This TV show has ruined Que Sera Sera for me FOREVER.

And, I have never once watched the opening credits, nor do I think I ever will.

I started watching it out of curiosity more than anything, and it is not anything I usually choose to watch. It has that car wreck pull though. I can't stop "side-watching" it.

Yeah. I usually have it on 1/4 the of the screen, to one side of the computer monitor while I am busy doing other er, productive things on the other 3/4 of the screen....so having my eyes averted and focused on other things most of the time is the way I "watch" this show.

Dang.

It's been on for several years now, but I've only started watching it.

Eyes averted, 1/4 only screen real estate, skipping through the opening theme - that's the way I watch it, ain't no shame in it.

I made my first contribution to IMDB!

This week, I decided that we would watch Anaconda for our Friday movie, it being a cult classic and of the "so bad it is good" variety.

As I was previewing it before watching it with "The Little Boy aka The Young Man", I thought I caught a Continuity Goof.  Being a geek nerd, I naturally looked up the Goof section of the movie on IMDB to see what other goofiness was afoot.

I could not believe that there was no entry about The Particular Continuity Goof that I had caught.  I mean, the movie came out in 1997, and IMDB had been in existence since 1990. SOME one should have put IT in by now.

So what does a geek nerd do under such circumstances? Well, they send in their own contribution to the goof section.

A few hours later, it got accepted!

I have since amended the "earphones" to "headphones" hehe.

An Opportunistic Thirsty Cardinal.

Doctor Donna

One of my favorite The Doctor and Donna interactions. Cracks me up each time.

Happy 17th Birthday, Young Man!

My heart.

It is near to not being able to handle The Young Man turning 17. Oh my days.

He wanted to help make AND decorate the cake, so I asked if HE could come up with the design.

Of course, he incorporated Deltarune into the design, which was supposed to resemble the number 17 - following our tradition of Age-Number cakes.

There was no way I could do little fondant creatures or anything like that, so we went with drawn and laminated characters stuck to toothpicks to decorate the cake with.

He was very happy with the gifts as they were (mostly) what he had asked for. :P

Love you to the moon and back, darling boy.

More Night Sky Light Pollution

Not that long ago, I posted about us getting up early to watch a total eclipse of the moon, and how there was the very obvious light pollution from the Humongaloid Data Center that had been built to the West of us.

Well, there is another one that is very close to us, to the North East of us.  And look at what it has done to the night sky in THAT direction.

It's sprouting time.

The Texas Lilacs and Crepe Myrtles are coming to life again.

And a Hummingbird Moth was spotted!

Pretty Lights at Dusk

With different lights strung in the side yard and in the truck, it is quite lovely.

Irises

The irises are still in full bloom and quite lovely this year.  We did remember to feed them some flowering food earlier in the year, so maybe that helped.

Well, Hello Cousin Geoffrey!

The hub's cousin, who resides in Singapore, was in Texas and planned a visit with us.  We got some Mexican food and had al fresco dining and catching up with him.  We basically hadn't seen him since our wedding, if I remember correctly, but had kept in touch on Whatsapp and whatnot.  A good time was had, and there was a lot of reminiscing and remembering days of yore for the 2 men. :)

Pan Mee

When there isn't anywhere you can go to get this, you just have to make your own. It wasn't too bad. :)

After about a week...

The Irises have bloomed! I know..not that much happens around here, so we have to learn to delight in the most mundane but yet lovely things!

Air Fried Donuts

Got some donut silicone molds in the mail and thought I'd air fry some.

They turned out okay, and the boys did enjoy them. :)

Spring is definitely In The Air.

Look at these lovely Irises peeking out.

Dandelions always remind me of Pororo

Ever since I saw an episode of Pororo with The Young Man when he was a Tiny Little Boy, dandelions have always reminded me of the Little Korean Penguin.

The Very Precise Package

When we got this delivered, The Young Man brought my attention to how precise the weight of the package was.
Like, woah.

The Leftovers Garden

Yes, I replant whenever possible, the veges that we get from the grocery store.  I mean, why not?!?  You get a lot more than what you paid for just by plonking in into a little planter. I think, besides getting extra veges, I like seeing greens grow.

Watching the Lunar Eclipse

There was a total lunar eclipse ( Blood Moon ) for which we got up early to watch.

And yes, that light pollution over yonder, is an infamous by-product of A Very Large, Massive and Humongous Data Center that has set up shop here.  *sigh*

Survivor 50

I was actually on Borneo, going through Medical School, when the first Season of Survivor aired.  My housemates and I would stop what we were doing and pile in front of the TV to watch it every week.

Since then, I have been a fan - although there were some years in there where the show somehow lost its appeal to me, but I caught back up, albeit years later.

Today was the season premiere of Survivor 50, and I am sooo here for it.

Happy Chinese New Year's Eve!

This year I thought I would try to prepare a slightly more traditional menu.  I had stayed away from whole fish and "boned" chicken in the past because the boys are more used to "fillets", without the whole "my fish is looking at me" business. *eye roll*

Also, with some prodding from my mom, I thought we would partake in Yu Sang as well!  The boys enjoyed it, and the dinner.

Yay :)
