Now this is what I call a Golden Sunset.

There are the Bougainvillea,  the Figs, and a Pumpkin Plant that had grown where the old Seasonal Pumpkin breathed its last and disintegrated after we finally saw fit to put it outside to die after it had survived indoors all these many months. 

Oh, and some lovely Spider Plants.

Weirdness of Grape

Yes, "Grape" as in the first name of this little fruit.

And it is weirdly shaped.

But we loved it all the same.....and it was delicious.

Yup, finally went ahead and got one.  Here's to stronger bones and a stronger heart.

I didn't realise that when one becomes a Mom, that one's capacity to love and protect grows exponentially, with all the pride and hope in the offspring.  

It helps when you have the sweetest, kindest, most amazing child - who has eyebrows to die for.

A Froggy Family!

Some froggies have claimed the water bin as their habitat in this crazy hot weather.  I hope the cats leave them alone. I guess there are nooks and crannies enough in there for them to be safe.

Where have the years gone? They have been so full, and sometimes the years where you have been a little boy seem so far off, but then again, time seems to have gone at warp speed.

I will be bawling and a total mess only too soon.

MORE Snakes.

The Young Man and I were talking one of our walks around The Plantation when he suddenly stopped me in my tracks with an outstretched hand. You know, like the things that go up and down at parking lots that let cars in and out.

Apparently I was about to step on a snake on the road. 

Doh.
