The Blackberries are alive!

We have been having a reprieve from all the locust-y grasshoppers, and so the Blackberries have had a chance to start to grow! Let's see how they do in a bit, aye?

More Garden Figurines Brought Back to Life

Remember when I freshened up the Garden Gnomes with a new coat of paint?

Well, I gave the Cat and Dog figurines in the Iris flowerbed some attention as well.  I didn't color their bodies, but did give them some Bright Bandanas.

Spider Plants are Marvelous, aren't they?

It hailed!

Remember the scary weather we talked about?

We did escape with getting just some tiny hail, and not the ginormous ones. Phew.

Still with the Nature Theme

Have I introduced the newly repainted gnomes yet?  They had sat out in the yard for years, with their paint all peeling off and faded.  Then I got some acrylic paint and hey presto, they are looking so much better.

The Rose Hedge is doing well with so many blooms,

The Mesquite Flowers are just going bonkers,

The Irises are still magnificent,

The Cacti are looking wonderfully prolific,

AND Cats are Stalking and Being Stalked.

I told you there would be more flowers.

This time, it's the Bloomin' Mesquite Trees,

Spider Plants, 

Irises,

Roses,

Wildflowers, and

A Pic of Caterpillar Poo left behind after eating on my lettuce!!

We tried some new Paas Egg Dying thingies, and they turned out pretty nicely, or as well as it could have as done by first timers.

I was able to keep some alive over the winter, and even got the seeds from last year's blooms started and thriving!

And of course, there's always the bought-veges-leftovers that have had their lives extended. 

I made my first contribution to IMDB!

This week, I decided that we would watch Anaconda for our Friday movie, it being a cult classic and of the "so bad it is good" variety.  

As I was previewing it before watching it with "The Little Boy aka The Young Man", I thought I caught a Continuity Goof.  Being a geek nerd, I naturally looked up the Goof section of the movie on IMDB to see what other goofiness was afoot.  

I could not believe that there was no entry about The Particular Continuity Goof that I had caught.  I mean, the movie came out in 1997, and IMDB had been in existence since 1990. SOME one should have put IT in by now.

So what does a geek nerd do under such circumstances? Well, they send in their own contribution to the goof section. 

A few hours later, it got accepted!

I have since amended the "earphones" to "headphones" hehe.

T'is the Season for Wildflowers

Yeah, because hardly anything happens around here, the most action we are going to see in the Spring Time would be Bloomin' Flowers.  At least they're gorgeous, right? Get used to them coz you're gonna see a lot of 'em in the April Blog Posts.
