Welcome Home, Grandad.

We were supposed to have an excursion with Grandad last Saturday,

and met up with him and Lin at McDonalds for breakfast, as usual.

Grandad did not have much of an appetite and his hands were shaking pretty badly. He was also having some difficulty breathing. It was mentioned that he might think about seeing a doctor, which he readily agreed to. When we had him in our car and actually heard him breathing laboriously, we decided that instead of an excursion, we needed to detour over to the emergency room.

We quickly called up the other family members to let them know, and before long, everyone else was waiting with Grandad in the ER, where he was being seen before being transferred upstairs.

The ER is no place for a rambunctious little 2 year old with mind of his own, so we retreated to the car, and thanks to drinks and snacks and the trusty ASUS Eee which is loaded up with his videos, we rode it out ( no pun intended ) quite smoothly.

Turns out,Grandad had pneumonia, and so last week, we went up to see Grandad twice a day, and David spent a few nights keeping his dad company.

and the little boy always found something new to do and keep himself occupied. AND whenever we passed by the little "nutrition" room where they kept snacks and food for the patients, he would ask for "CWAKO!" ( crackers )

Grandad was glad to finally be able to go home on Thursday, and we are thankful that he is all better!
