The Rare Snow

We don't get much snow here in Abilene. Once a year would be the average. Twice a year would be a treat.

So it isn't surprising that when we get some snow, it is A Big Deal. Even if it was more SLEET than snow.

Especially for the little boy :)

We should all maintain that intrigue and childlike wonder forever.

Even the cat was intrigued :)

Don't get me wrong. There are a lot of Adult Responsibilities that have to be tended to whenever there is snow or sleet.

But shouldn't we make some time to take in all the wonderment?

We had to go out to town the next day, and we thought we were in the clear since we had removed all the snow from the windscreen and whatnot.

However, when we came to a halt at a light, snow/ice from the ROOF of our car came tumbling down.  It was pretty abrupt and unexpected, but Thank Goodness it didn't totally obstruct the hub's view to where he couldn't drive.

We still love you, Winter and Snow.
