Our lovely friend Madge gave us A Pot of Poppies a couple of year back, and they have been coming back with gusto.

Such lovely, luscious and large petals.  And when the petals fall off, the seed pods are so interesting looking!

Crepes

 It can't really be called "Covid Cooking" if all this while you have already been making lunch and dinner every single day.

However, I don't make crepes often enough, and thought I would do so today.

Nothing fancy. Just some fruits and whipped topping. :)

They are indeed in full bloom, and though not many are of the "scent-ful" fragrant variety, when the wind is just right, it smells truly lovely around here.

 One thing good about online grocery shopping is, that you don't get sidetracked and start impulse-buying.

One bad thing is, you don't get to see all the new and wonderful things out there waiting for you to impulse-buy and try!

A Tall Boy, A New Gate, and Some Cows

So, the gates arrived but have yet to be put in. Meanwhile, they're just kind of leaning on each other and the poles that held a previous gate, I'm guessing...

The Unpredictability of Grocery Deliveries

Even though you try to go the extra mile of making sure you track your delivery person from the very beginning and follow them along, 

and they start out looking like they may just be headed the right way,

they sometimes go the opposite way of where you would like them to, and end up on the complete other end of town, all lost and befuddled, until you call them up and set them straight.

This is my new norm now:

Listening for the "knock knock knock" that tells me I have a message on my phone, and tracking the delivery person in case they go astray, and calling them right away if they look like they're headed somewhere else than right for us.
