T'is the Season For..

False Purple Thistles!

Seriously, they are called FALSE Purple Thistles! Not to be mistaken for the ACTUAL REAL Purple Thistles.

I do like their Purple Pineapply-ness, though, False or Not.

Bougainvilleas remind me of My Mom

When I was in my Teen Years, my mom had about a dozen different colored Bougainvillea plants on display at the front of the house.

They were planted in these very ornate Chinese Planters, and they were her pride and joy.

Every time I look at ours, I think of her and how she cared for the ones we had back home, and how it helps me feel just a little bit closer to her.

Our Friendly Neighborhood Garden Spider

Perhaps I should name her Charlotte?

She is actually quite beautiful.

Summer's One Last Hurrah

Give it up already, Summer.

It's almost like you're trying to claw your way back into dominance and not going out without a huge fight.

Well, Hello there, Autumn!

Arachnidal Angst

It is never good when you find Scorpions crawling around your bathroom floor.

Ugh.

Needless to say, this fella met with an untimely demise after crossing paths with moi.

This Post Needed to be in Black and White

I was neatening up some things outside in the Wilderness of Our Country Home, and came across a box that had Rat Remains in it.

You know you are a blogger when you take a photo of the said remains first before dumping them.

Massacre in the Morning

Them cats keep rodents at bay, but do pose a hazard to the local bird-life.
