Chinese New Year Decoration. Singular.

It's quite sad, actually, but the RV isn't very conducive to CNY decorations.

HOWEVER, I did manage to get some Window Cling Thingies and have one up in a window.

Now I feel like at least I haven't been a complete letdown in terms of getting into the spirit of things.. :P

The Horses are Back!

Our neighbors have had horses just about as long as we have known them, but one day they were suddenly gone. The neighbors' granddaughter had moved out and taken them with her to her new place.

I had gotten so used to seeing them that their absence took some adjusting on my part....especially when I went for my walks around our place. Their presence had made the place seem so much livelier.

Well, to my surprise, a few months(?) later, they were back! Apparently the granddaughter had moved back home and brought the horses back with her.

HURRAY!

The Cold Snap

We're going through a cold snap right now, and this is what the temperatures have been like on the 14th, 15th and 16th.

We can't stay outside for very long, and when we do venture out, we are all bundled up.

The RV space heaters aren't able to keep the temps up by themselves, and so

we've had to resort to turning the propane-fueled furnace on, and so far it's been helping to make life a lot more comfortable.

Being the Handyman

The RV Battery had conked out, taking along with it some of our lights and whatnot, so we had to educate ourselves ( by this, I mean the hubs had to educate me ) in the ways of the RV Battery.  He already knew some stuff, from having had experience with RVs in the past, but being the brilliant brain that he is, figured out what we needed to do.

More Frost!

Pretty, innit?

Frost!

Somehow when I said that out loud - in my brain - it immediately made me think of the character in CW's The Flash.

Anyway, frost on the grass and plants IS quite pretty.

And it is always fascinating to see how areas that are in the shade keep the frost going until the sun gets to them. I know you can't see it very well in the photo below, but trust me. It's there.

A Rainy Start to the Year

Nevertheless, sometimes I DO like walking in a slight drizzle.

I don't like the wet muddy ground though.
