Covid Booster

Here we go again....

A MacGyvered Greenhouse

The hubs rigged together some hog panels and old greenhouse plastic ( from a long ago endeavor ), and we have been trying to keep our tomatoes alive since.

The plants are still doing good and yielding lots of tomatoes every day.  We'll see how long we can keep this up.

Christmas Weather Forecast

Well, at least we won't be freezing.

Our Evergreen Trees

We planted them when we first moved here, way back in 2004 or 2005, and they are absolutely Majestic.

Christmas Cookies

I never can make icing that has that wonderful consistency, but hey, we have a grand time nevertheless.

Silky Shenanigans

Yes, he tries to chew on the fake tree .... and it seem like for the first week or 10 days after the tree is put up, there is a heck of a lot of throwing up going on... but the rascal sure is photogenic.

The Tree is Up!

This year, we wasted NO time in putting The Tree up, seeing how time just absolutely FLIES BY with supersonic speed between Thanksgiving and Christmas :)

My Very Dedicated Helper.

Happy Thanksgiving 2021!

Yes, give me the wingy tibia-fibula and wing tip part with lots of gravy and I will be content.

I made a mincemeat pie ( as you can tell from the very rustic looking crust ), and got a mixed cheesecake thingy and mini pies from Wally World.

Et voila! Rolls, Broccoli Creamy Rice, Green Beans Casserole, The Turky, Sweet Potato Casserole, Giblets for the Hubs, Cranberry Relish, Cornbread Dressing, Gravy with Hard Boiled Egg and Purple Grapes.

Making Cranberry Relish

The one activity of the Thanksgiving Meal Prep that the boys love to take part in...

I'm not a bit Cranberry Relish fiend, unlike the boys, so I am very happy to let them take care of this part of the preparation. AND let them decide how much Stevia it needs.

Last Bits from the Garden

Not sure how much longer the Tomato Plants will hold up with the changing seasons, but we are still getting a real abundant harvest every day.

Late Autumn Blooms

Abundance of Wildflowers hoping to have one last burst of life (cycling) before the cold gets here.

Nature in Progress

Whooping Cranes in Formation, flying South for the Winter.  They often stop and rest in the Wheat Field next to us and are often so much louder than one might expect.

A Slimed Slipper

Cat Throw-up in My Slipper is NOT appreciated, Silky. Time for some Fur Ball Snacks and more aggressive brushing.
