The Trials of a First Timer

Long Story Short, I have had to replant my cucumbers.

For One Thing, I didn't have the right kind ( in mind ) planted - pickling instead of regular,

and For Another Thing, they were being decimated by Aphids ( and probably some kind of leaf mildew )  right under my nose, and I was none the wiser.

The Tomatoes and Bell Peppers are doing well, although I DID have to spray the #@@$@ Aphids off of the Bell Peppers as well.

The Chives have started to flower too - we'll see how THAT goes.

A West Texas Sunset

Some of these can be super gorgeous, but to be totally honest, I was trying out the night settings on my phone.

I Spy

What would life be without a bit of Spying On The Garbage Truck To Make Sure They Didn't Muff Things Up As They Did Their Rounds, eh?

Silky the Contortionist

Silky sure is One Twisted Cat.

Garden Invasion

The cats out here sometimes hang out in the little garden area to escape the shade and even to make use of the misting system sometimes!

The hubs has set up a misting / spray system that I can turn on for a couple of minutes when the plants are a-wilting from the heat of the day, and the cats seem to have taken advantage of that as well!

At least they leave the plants alone...
or else they will have ME to deal with.

The Farmerization of Me

It is a wonder I didn't start years and years and years before this, because The Garden, though it has its challenges and learning curves, is such a Source of Joy to me.

I love to see how things are growing and it gives me Such Delight when I can actually harvest something and share it with The Boys.

And then, there is the Potential of Things to Come... flowers and tiny fruits-to-be.
