These clouds make my heart ache a little.

...only because they remind me of Minecraft....which then makes me think back to when the young man was a little boy, and we would build worlds in Minecraft together, and have so much fun.  

We still have fun in different ways, and he is still the sweetest boy/young man, but it makes me think,  once again, of that one particular Zits comic strip from Jan 31st 2010.

Pineapple Thistles

Yes, technically they are neither thistles nor pineapples, but that's what I like to call them.

In the late summer when everything seems to have bloomed its last, these Purple Wonders are a-plenty. Plus, bees love them, and so do I.

Why does this little critter perching on the edge of my bucket make my heart smile? :)

Bougainvilleas remind me of my mom, while Crepe Myrtles remind me of my father-in-law.

New "Backsplash"

What can I say, we live in an RV.  One of the ways I can protect the walls etc is just by putting up el cheapo fake wallpaper. It's adhesive but I just held it up in place with some blu-tack. Now the whole little corner looks really much brighter as well!

Almost 4 inches of rain. Wowzers.

After the Rain

Somehow everything looks so dreary after the rain. I suppose it just makes the Summer-Browned grass that much more bleh looking. But I AM thankful for the rain and the many wonderful things that it does. 

Also, I have to get to patching those danged holes in the entry way.
