Another Tradition, of sorts.

The hubs mentioned last year that he wished that we had done the New Years' crafts, and so that's what we did this year.  It all turned out pretty well.

Loveliness Galore. :)

Even Silky the Cat got a present.. which he played with for a couple of hours and promptly got bored with. Hoy.

The RV Gingerbread House of 2024

I'm all for getting a kit to do the gingerbread house with, instead of going the "cheaper route" of just using Graham Crackers because sometimes it is just so dang easier.  That is, if the price is right on The Kit. I can be quite the miser.

This year, we used the Sour Patch RV Gingerbread Kit.

It took a few days to get together, what with all the drying and whatnot, but we got 'er done :)

I think it looked really nice :)

Toffee Graham Crack Bars

I kid you not, that's what it's actually called. 

And we get the recipe from HERE.

The boys love this, and we have made it several times already.  The Young Man loves to help, and of course, lick the spoons after :)

A Gem of a Find at Walmart

Fishballs and Fishcakes really satisfy a bit of the "Homesick for Malaysian Food" pangs.

Snake Sighting

The Young Man and I were taking one of our walks when he suddenly stretched out his arm to stop me in my tracks. 

Apparently I had been looking ahead and not the where I was placing my feet.

I had just been about to step on a ssssssssssnake.  I was thankful tho, that it wasn't a Rattler.

Then, of course we stopped and observed it for a bit. :)

A "Gift" from Walmart

We had this pot wrongly delivered to us with our regular groceries.

I tried  my best to get Walmart to come and get it delivered to its rightful owner.

I could feel the Walmart associate shrug over the phone as he kept telling me that there was probably nothing that could be done - that I probably should just keep it.  But he did say he would see what he could do to get it picked up, and get back to me.

I am back-blogging this from October 2025, and I have not heard back from them.

The Prairie Sky

Well, maybe not quite the Prairie, but we are out here in the country.

I mean, just look at it.

Cardinals

We get all kinds of birds out here, but we can't help but look out for the Cardinal, because of it's bright red plumage.

I suppose it is the influence of Christmas cards and such, but for some weird reason, I thought that we would only see Cardinals in the winter time. I have no idea where I got that silly idea. 

We see them year round here, and I am glad for that.
