Halloween 2018 Part 4

Halloween Eve

We had planned to go to a few Trunk or Treats this day, and first one was a smallish event in town.  Even though there were not that many cars that participated, but those who did, put their hearts into it.
There was even an Elvis Impersonator who was pretty good!
Next, it was off to Taylor Elementary School parking lot where there was also a Trunk or Treat being held for the first time ever at that location.   Needless to say, word had gotten out :)
It was getting a little later in the day, and so I wasn't so worried that the little boy would be too warm in his outfit.
The little boy enjoys the little games sooo much more than the receiving of the candy.
Sure, he likes the candy, but just getting to do all those different activities is the real thrill.
This trunk, we thought, was particularly cute.
After that, we went by over to the Abilene/Taylor County Law Enforcement Complex, where THEY were having a Trunk or Treat.  I mean, we felt quite safe there to say the least :)
The line was already pretty horrendous by the time we got there,
and we tried to be patient as we inched along towards the cars and activities.
Our last stop for the night was Baker Heights Church of Christ, where we met up with Julia who was handing out candy to the kids.
It was quite the afternoon and evening we had..

Up next, Halloween Proper.

Halloween 2018 Part 3 : Oldham Lane Church of Christ Fall Festival

Next, it was off to Oldham Lane for their Fall Festival. There was already quite a crowd there, but in a more manageable number.
There were game booths, raffle booths, hot dogs, popcorn and cotton candy.

The little boy wasted no time in plunging headlong into the games.

His cousin Jet was in even in charge of one of the stations!

We met up with Max over at the inflatable slide,

and he came tumbling down as the little boy began his ascent.

Then it was off to more games,

and finally, the fishing booth, where he won a package of giant glowsticks, which he claimed he would use on Halloween night to help others see him as we walked down the streets. :)

Halloween 2018 Part 2 : Safety City

After spending a few hours at the zoo, we had to go home, have lunch, and rest a bit before going out again for more Trick or Treat'n.
We were not glad to see that the lines were once again crazy long, inching their way path the different booths,

and so we decided to go rogue, and just pretty much go wherever we desired, after reaching the first booth.

One thing I am happy about though, was that for the "cake walk" activity, that they would give several prizes out at the end of each little turn.  It was only after a couple of turns that the little boy won a little piece of cake, much to his glee.

By the time we got to the bouncy castle, the crowds had somewhat dispersed,

and the little boy got to bounce to his heart's content :)
