A Silky Update

Cats are such funny creatures, truly.

Tomato Plants in Pots!

After I had planted the tomatoes in the ground, I had some left over.

The hubs suggested we put some in pots so that we could bring them indoors in the winter time to be able to continue enjoying harvesting them.

Done and Done.

A Little Bit of Grandad

The Trumpet Vine that we got from Grandad's house before it got sold off has grown quite healthily, with its beautiful namesake flowers. :) 

They remind me of him each time I see them.

Also, the Blackberry flowers have dropped off an in their place are little potential Blackberries.  Which we hope to be able to taste before the birds and critters get to them!

A Little Bit of the Woods

We used to have a lot of bunnies around here, but since there have been more cats ( and those crazy coyotes that we hear howling in the night ), there have been less and less and less of them.

So, it was quite a delight to chance upon a little cotton tail just going about its business by the gate as I walked up to retrieve a delivery.

It's Transplanting Day

Hopefully the little seedlings will survive our harsh Abilene Temps and flourish.

We have tomatoes, watermelons, green onions and potatoes :) Not the best selections, but hey, give a noob a break.

2nd One Down!

We went by and got our 2nd shot of the Pfizer Vaccine today. Hurrah! So far so good. Just a slight ache of the deltoid.

I have a very broad face, but this Sunflower Leaf right at our side steps puts it to complete and utter shame :)

He was LONG overdue for a trim, poor thing. :)

Prickly Pear Flower

The blooms are coming in, and I await their fruit. I don't know quite what I want to do with them yet. I just know I would like to do SOMETHING with them this time. :)
