Don't leave home without Sunscreen

If we want to get any time out at the yard at all, we have to go out just minutes after we wake up, otherwise, we would be battling indescribably messed up weather. 

By the time I had time after coming back in from playing with and cleaning up the little boy and doing the morning chores, I turned on the computer to THIS

By 1 pm, it was already THIS.

Oh yeah, and THIS is the way it went down for the rest of the day..

 


Currently, at midnight, it is still 85 degrees. GAK!!!

Adventures in the Yard

We got this Fisher Price wacky flower sprinkler for July 4th several years ago,

and the little boy and I have gotten drenched more than a couple of times this spring/summer :P

AND the yard gets watered at the same time! :)

It IS summer time after all

And to some of us in these here parts, it has seemed like summer for months now.

We even had a record 105 F yesterday, breaking a 33 year record.

So a few days ago, the pool from last year got cleaned up and deployed, much to the little boy's delight :)

 

Of course, little boys never want to climb up the slide the RIGHT WAY..

AND when they do come down the slide, it is accompanied by theatrics limited only by a child's burgeoning imagination.

The little boy thought it such a treat to be "on top of the world", he decided to do a little jig :)
