and then for dinner, I tried making something I hadn't had in a long while, "Soon Kueh", which is basically a steamed dumpling of jicama wrapped in a rice flour skin. It turned out okay for a first attempt, but nowhere near the real deal. :P

Gong Xi Fa Cai Letti!!!!!!!! Mine was spent recuperating from a bout of torrential diarrhoea which sapped the energy and left me with only 2.3 good days at home to gorge on food.
