Prickly Pears

We took a little excursion today, to pick Prickly Pears.  We had already "juiced" a batch a couple of days ago, and went in search of more.

 

Last year, we had enough to make several gallons of juice, and Prickly Pear jelly as well. Needless to say, even though we had leather gloves on, the hubs and I got quite a few pricks.

On the way home, though, there was this amazing sunset, that made it seem the entire horizon was ablaze. :)
