The Lakes are Full

For a place that had been plagued by drought for many years, the Abilene community pretty much freaked out over all the rain that we got last month, and especially at how most of the lakes had filled up.

We were no different.

We drove out to Lake Fort Phantom again the other day to marvel at how high the water was, and even covering walkways/pathways in some areas!

It had been a mighty long time since the water had come up this high. We couldn't help walking up to it and putting at least a foot in it.

When we were done, we swung by Uncle Lin's place, where he had put aside for us, some smoked ham! Hurray for Uncle Lin!
