The day started off raining, and we were hoping it would let off some before it was time to set off for some Trunk or Treating.
Many places had to change their plans and scramble to find a place indoors or, as in this case with this church, a long portico.
Next, it was off to The Big Event, downtown at First Baptist Church.
Because of the rain, they had moved their trunk or treat from the parking lot over to their Family Life Center, which is HUMONGOUS.
They sure had the facility to come in to.
They have a roller skating rink,
bowling facilities ( I think )
and more.
We stopped by Southern Hills Church for a few minutes.. They also had to move indoors with all the rain.
Then it was time to hit the neighborhoods!
It is always amazing to me how people open their doors to strangers on Halloween.
Strangers dressed in all kinds of costumes, and sometimes masks.
We met some really nice folks, but some had probably retired early, and left baskets with instructions outside the door :)
The little boy had a wonderful Halloween over the few days, and I am sure he is already thinking up next year's costume :)
