He is the sweetest younger brother ever, and sends me amazing care packages over and over and over :)
He struck again, and sent me some MALAYSIAN pastes!
I don't know if you can tell, but the contents of the shredded squid package didn't make it all the way to the photo shoot :)

Pumpkin Patch Part 2
So, we went back to the pumpkin patch with Cindy but this time, the weather wasn't quite optimal and so there was no one else there, and still no hay ride. Bleh.
Oh yeah, and it was a pretty blustery and cold day :)
But, we still managed to capture some pretty cool memories :)
It was still a grand surprise for the little boy to get to visit the pumpkin patch, but it was getting to be just a little less of a wonderment to him, something which I missed a little, and gave me little "heart pangs".
Cindy surprised the little boy with a little red wagon and gave him a little ride around the place
and I couldn't help but think back on the time when she gave him a ride at our house when he was still barely out of babydom :)
It may have been a cold windy lonely hayride-less day at the pumpkin patch, but when you are surrounded by the people you love the best in the world, and who love YOU the best in the world, you always have a super excellent glorious time :)

Pumpkin Patch Part 1
What would the fall season be without a visit to the Pumpkin Patch? :)
This year we actually went twice, but more of the second visit in the next post.
There were maybe just one other family there when we got there, and business wasn't exactly brisk ( they had kinda run out of pumpkins and were waiting on a next shipment ) and so there wasn't even a hayride available. We walked around a little bit and took some pictures,
paid a visit to the gift shop,
checked out the lake out in the back,
and told the pumpkins that we would be back another day.

Table Cloth Clips
I got these from the Dollar Tree a while ago, but they got stuck in a drawer and forgotten about.
Then, I found myself counting to 10 each time I had to readjust the table cloth and its plastic cover over and over, several times a day. The culprits? Well, everyone, I suppose. But most glaringly, a little boy who would grab the table cloth when he climbed into his high chair, or when he was doing stuff at the kitchen table.
These aren't the most aesthetically zen things you might want on your kitchen table, but so far, they have worked. And THAT has been totally amazing. I mean, one less little "irk" in your day can be quite big :)
Anyway, one of them's bits have snapped and broken from being a little too in the way, but so far so good. And it was just a dollar for the set of four :P

I am totally incredulous
According to the hubs, these have been out there FOREVER.
I just can't believe it took me all these years of grocery shopping to finally lay eyes on one.
And I still can't believe it exists.
Apparently, a LOT of people can't believe they exist either. One blogger has become kind of semi famous for chronicling the opening and cooking of the aforementioned can of chicken.
It looked a little horrifying coming out of the can in her photos. I know I'm Chinese and am supposed to have a steel stomach to all kinds of culinary experiences, but this may be something that I will either never go near, or finally do, out of some sort of morbid fascination.
