Namesakes and Roots
About 3 weeks ago, we were in Brownwood, Tx.
At first, we drove around Brownwood, while Walter played tour guide :) One of the places we stopped to get a better look was a house that his dad had built, that was still standing.
Our next stop was Greenleaf Cemetery, where Walter's mother , Elma Rambo, is buried, alongside her parents and other kin. Jaxon's middle name is in memory of his great grandmother. Believe it or not, Jaxon's Rambo lineage can be traced back to the very first Rambo who stepped onto US soil. A thorough and extensive Rambo genealogy is found HERE.
Of course, we couldn't go to Brownwood and not stop by the State Park :)
Then it was off to lunch downtown at Underwood's.
Uncle Lin kept Jaxon entertained with Coin Tricks
And for dessert, our boy chowed down on crushed ice. ;)

Looks like a great trip! And I have been meaning to ask you about Jaxon's middle name, that's really cool. My mom said once that she should have given us all middle names that were family names. Especially like my great-grandmother's name because her father just had girls and then she just had girls!
